What We See
Judging Others
Though it
is human to evaluate people we encounter based on first
impressions, the conclusions we come to are seldom
unaffected by our own fears and our own preconceptions.
Additionally, our judgments are frequently incomplete. For
example, wealth can seem like proof that an individual is
spoiled, and poverty can be seen as a signifier of
laziness—neither of which may be true. At the heart of the
tendency to categorize and criticize, we often find

We must do more than rescue our lives from
our immediate crisis. We must rebuild it stronger than
before. We must lay a new foundation for our future growth
and prosperity, and a key pillar of our new foundation is
The New Way of Life.Learning to live a new way of life can be
difficult. Sometimes, when the going gets especially hard, we
are tempted to follow the part of least resistance and live by
our old ideas again. We forget that our old ideas were causing
us pain. We need to reevaluate our old ideas by opening our
minds so we can become acquainted with the ideas that lead to
a new way of life.
Doing things this new way requires that we become Self-honest,
Open-minded, and Willing to trust ourselves, share our
feelings with others at times these suggestions may meet our
resistance, even our rebellion. But, this new way of life
require effort, however, each day brings us closer to becoming
the kind of person we truly want to be. We want to change, to
grow, to become something more than we are today. To do that,
we open our minds, practice the new ideas that life offers,
and learn to live this new way of life.
